FRO Revisited

A couple of weeks ago I was tweaking Jimmy Crack Corn Pone because he panned FRO "ix-nay on FRO", and it took off. Probably had nothing to do with his panning of the stock - maybe it was just a good stock.

Anyway I looked the other day and this is what I saw.

And I was confused for a bit - because I just couldn't figure out why it dropped. Well here is why -

HAMILTON, Bermuda, March 6, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) --
We refer to the fourth quarter report released on February 27, 2007. Frontline Ltd. is trading ex-dividend of a cash dividend of $2.05 per share and a share distribution of three shares in Ship Finance International Limited for every 28 shares held in Frontline Ltd. today March 6, 2007. The record date for both is March 8, 2007, and both will be paid/distributed on or about March 22, 2007.

Jimmy Crack Corn Pone touted people off a stock that is paying a cash dividend of $2.05 about 2 weeks before it was declared. Meanwhile one of the triple buys he touted on that same day - DGX - is doing really well -

I pray two things - first that no one actually bought DGX and second that no one actually sold FRO based on this guys bull snot. Unfortunately I doubt these prayers were answered.

There are a lot of "Jimmy Crack Corn Pones" out here people. I read Blogs every day with people saying this stock that stock the other stock - they mean well - truly they do - it's just that most of them really don't know what they are talking about. I always hesitate to give a recommendation and I try to keep them limited - most often I only provide them as examples of filter outputs and up till now most of them have gone in the right direction - eventually. But be careful - trust no one - do your own due diligence and be really sure before you commit your hard earned cash to the casino.

Oh well - rant off - stepping down from soap box.

It's interesting that this morning you wrote about FRO because I planned on leaving a comment for you regardng the same stock in that the weekly chart is potentially setting up for an Enhanced BOB. Thank you for the commentary this morning. I, too, was wondering why it dropped so fast (although I didn't investigate). I bought FRO on Tuesday this week at $30.03 and sold it near the EOD. Hindsight is always 20-20.

Enjoy your day.
