Finally got a breakout - on a day when everything was going down one stock poked its head above the trench and looked at blue sky above - that would be -

These next ones come from the ATR + RSI Filter (the ones with the "*" also come from BOB set-up)

Do your own DD and remember - I never recommend playing the stock market - I'd much sooner recommend that you go to the nearest casino, find a craps table, put your money on the line and toss the bones - much better odds.

Bongiorno. From the "I don't know if this means anything or not department," last night I scanned for BOB's using your filter and settled on this watchlist for today: TRA, CF, NHO, BDN, HCN. I picked these stocks because all of them have been in very nice, some really smoooth, uptrends (some dating back to May '06) on their daily charts and all of them were above their 140ema. What I found interesting was that 4 out of the 5 opened with the BOB sequence and all of them would have been profitable daytrades. Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe I was just lucky to find a good group of strongly performing stocks which had pulled-back to their trendlines and were ripe for a BOB-bounce. I especially liked TRA and wish I would have been around to trade today. Oh my.
Hope you rubbed some Makers Mark on those Purple Passion wounds---then drank, then rubbed, then drank.....

Boy, that SOHU chart is ugly. It's been stair stepping down for months with nary a bounce of any substance. Are you looking for an up day before buying that one? It's certainly oversold...
Yes but in the past 6 days this is the first BOB set-up. I'm looking for something like 3/14 set-up.
Philip - I don't believe it was a coincidence - I frequently get a high percentage of day tradable stocks out of the BOB set-up - far more than I report here. I only report the notable ones here - the ones that serve to drive home the point I'm trying to make.
And yes - I applied some Remy Martin to the wound - internally of course.
Everybody needs some nice thoughts.
